There was a time when people were not allowed to go to temples because god were not for them but for higher grade people. It was on the basis of caste system then and now it has been more generalized , now its on the basis of money but if you look keenly , both are same because at the time of caste system the higher caste people were also the money holding people so it’s the same thing but in more realistic manner. Only difference is , that by the mercy of rich people the poor one are not totally discarded but can have DARSHAN of god from a distance.
I went to jagannath mandir in PURI, where I found mysterious things which I wanted to share with all the people of india and foreign. General people were allowed to see the idol of god from a distance and only those who could pay the money for ticket could see the idol from near. There if you get the ticket and go to see and worship idol , the priest will ask not less than 300 bucks as charity to god( which will go to him). I went to an idol and without asking me the priest started his ritual and then he asked us to pay 500 bucks and when we denied , he used slangs.
The people who were going for worshiping god who was available in any temple but as this temple was very famous and was compulsary to visit once at least in lifetime, the god here was also bigger( more worshipable) , were touching the stairs of temple and giving respect and I saw a priest who was spitting on the temple.
What a joke of lifetime , I experienced in this temple. I don’t know why people can’t understand that being nearer to idol doesn’t mean that the person is nearer to god.
People criticize negatively to the movie SLUMDOG , because it has shown the rural part of india which is poor and which has been continuously punished for being poor but is not it the truth of our country? And I guess let the era change, let the climate of world change, let the science and technology and everything change but one thing will never change and that is the bloodsucking of poor people.
